Over the past decade plus, Roberta Baldwin has become one of Essex County, NJ's most respected real estate professionals. In 2005 & 2006, The Baldwin Dream Team ranked among the Top 10 RE/MAX teams statewide and in the Top 3 in RE/MAX Village Square's 5-office, Essex County, NJ network.

A recipient of the New Jersey Association of Realtors® Circle of Excellence Sales Award for the past decade, Roberta brings a myriad of talents to the job of helping her clients buy and sell homes. In 2003, she was named "Realtor of the Year" by the West Essex Board of Realtors.

An award-winning former journalist, author, newspaper editor, marketing and publishing executive, her well-honed organizational, creative, and people skills are brought to bear on every deal she negotiates. She specializes in “staging homes” to give them a marketplace edge and, a such, has been the subject of numerous feature articles in the New York Times, Star Ledger and other area newspapers and was featured on ABC's Nightline in Sept. 2006.

Roberta has been active in community service activities, including Library in a Box, an innovative community literacy project of her own design that brings new children’s books to area daycare centers and the project received the top service award bestowed by the NJ Assoc. of Realtors in 2005. She also launched the now-annual "Just Sweaters" campaign for her real estate board, spearheading the collection of warm garments for charity.

A native of Rochester, NY, Roberta is Essex County, NJ's only top real estate producer who has also produced an off-Broadway musical, called (appropriately enough) “Suburb”. As the official biographer of singer Lionel Richie, in late 2004 she appeared as a 'talking head' on E!Entertainment's bio of the Richie family. Roberta is married to biographer and historian Neil Baldwin (please visit him at www.neilbaldwinbooks.com!) They have two grown children -- Allegra, a young executive in the fashion industry, and Nick, a performer and certified personal trainer -- who grew up happily in Montclair and Glen Ridge after spending their earliest years in Brooklyn Heights, NY.

In 2004, Roberta welcomed longtime Montclair resident Tamima Friedman to her real estate team. Tamima, a former freelance writer and home renovator, spent a decade in the Far East before relocating with her husband and family to Montclair, NJ.

The Baldwin Team grew again in 2005, as Nancy S. Chu joined, bringing with her a wonderful combination of administrative acumen and creative talent. Nancy was an administrator at NYU Medical Center and a highly-regarded NY theater director prior to joining RE/MAX. She speaks Mandarin Chinese.

In 2007, Dina Gruenfeld, a filmmaker and former Nike art director joined the growing team.
